A Trip to Town

(taken from inside the car - sorry for the dirty windshield)

We took a trip to town yesterday (all 8 of us).
We hadn't been to our closest shopping town (a mere population of 5500) for several weeks.
Our small town has a population of just 600.

When did gas go up to nearly $4.00 a gallon again?  (I really don't mind this, though.  I actually think high gas prices are a good thing in the long run.)

Emily had her one year check-up (she turns one on Thursday!)

Along with a visit to our doctor, we went food shopping, thrift store browsing, and ice cream eating on what was a beautiful summer like day in September.

  1. Sounds like a lovely day! $4/gallon for gas sounds like a good price to me - in Canada it hasn't been that cheap in quite some time. :)

  2. Sounds like a lovely day. And I agree, in the long run, high fuel prices do make people think twice about taking their cars on quick errands they could easily walk to, or ride bikes, or take public transit.
